Why is this advert constructed in this way?
The Sainsbury's advert gives of emotion to the viewers to get a better response, the usp (unique selling point)is used when there is a close up shot of the chocolate.
Camerawork - during this advert there is a wide shot that is taken place, it is used to show both sides walking to each other (physical actions), during this advert there are close ups on the characters faces to show dramatic effect, at one moment there is joy as they play football but then when bombs go off there is shown sadness and the close ups on the characters faces show that they are scared.
Sound - the music during the ad is very dramatic to add effect on the viewer but at the same time it also gives of a vibe of joyful music in parts, by doing this it actually adds more dramatic effect because you know they've been miserable for some time.
Editing - the editing isn't fast, its more slow paste, it does this to show more dramatical effect, there are some fast editing points at the start but it becomes more slow towards the middle of the ad.
Mise en scene - Costumes in this advert are very crisp an down to the last detail, they are almost rags but in a way that also shows the viewer that it was harsh conditions and it adds emotional effect through the costumes.
Target audience.
Age range - This ad aims at more of a family orientated range, reaching from children to all aged adults. By this advert doing this it starts of conversation between people that have watched it.
Gender - In this add it doesn't really reach out to a certain gender, it more revolves around the whole meaning of what sharing is about.
Mainstream/ indépendant - This ad is very mainstream because most people know about it, the fact its taken place during a war means more patriotic people will want to see it which creates the whole mainstream following to that advert.
